1. Who We Are
Bolo (the "App") is a voice-first Android keyboard developed and maintained by Local Offline Apps. You can reach us at localofflineapps@gmail.com.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect absolutely no personal data.
- No microphone recordings are stored, uploaded, or shared.
- No keystrokes are logged, monitored, or transmitted.
- No analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, or tracking libraries are included in the App.
- No account creation or sign-in is required.
- No personal identifiers (name, email, device ID, IP address) are collected.
3. Microphone Permission
The App requests the RECORD_AUDIO permission solely to capture your voice while you press the microphone button. Audio is processed in real-time on-device using the bundled AI models and is never written to persistent storage or transmitted over the network.
4. Internet Permission
The App requests the INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions exclusively to download the AI model files (approximately 460 MB) on first launch. After that, the App operates completely offline. Model downloads are the only network activity the App ever performs.
5. Storage
The App stores the downloaded AI model files and a local diagnostic log file in your device's internal private storage (/data/data/com.bolo.keyboard/). This data is stored locally and never leaves your device.
6. Diagnostic Logs
The App writes a local debug log to help diagnose issues. This log contains device model, Android version, and App version information. It is not uploaded or shared. It remains on your device for local troubleshooting only.
7. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. Because we collect no data at all, the App is safe for users of all ages.
8. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services.
Model files are downloaded from a CDN (e.g., Hugging Face). No personal data is sent to these servers — only standard HTTPS requests with no user identifiers.
9. Data Security
Because no user data is collected or transmitted, there is no user data at risk. Model files and log files stored on-device are protected by Android's standard app sandboxing.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required by law, notify users through the App or through the Play Store listing. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
